Apparently, “Eastwick” has lost its magic. ABC hasn’t ordered any more episodes, ensuring the show’s demise.
I’ve expressed my love for the show, which centers on three witches. I really thought it was going somewhere; it’s like a chick flick but on TV.
Vulture surmises that actress Lindsay Price might have been the show’s unlucky charm as she’s been on four cancelled shows now, including NBC’s “Lipstick Jungle.”
I disagree. Price was charming on the show and my favorite, second only to Rebecca Romjin (“X-men”). Even the article that insults her actually praises her “multiethnic appeal and respectable acting chops.”
Between you and me, I think the Orlando Jones (“Evolution”) curse has more truth to it.
After the 13-episode run, its 10 p.m. timeslot on Wednesdays is up for grabs. “Ugly Betty” and “Lost” are the most likely contenders.
As revenge against the network, you can vote for “Eastwick” for Favorite New TV Drama at the 2010 People’s Choice Awards.
