As the Spice Girls once said, “Girl power!”
In addition to hiring more female stars, “Saturday Night Live” has increased its writing staff’s estrogen levels. Comedienne Jessi Klein has joined the show, resulting in a supposed total of six female “SNL” writers.
Still, “SNL” joined the bandwagon late. “Chelsea Lately” has five females on her staff of [...]

‘Gilmore Girls’ Movie: Oy with the Poodles Already!
Who knew that four words could drive people crazy?
“Gilmore Girls” creator Amy Sherman-Palladino is keeping mum about the last four words she planned her characters to say in the finale.
The Gilmore girls never got to utter them since Sherman-Palladino left the show before the final season aired.
It’s not all bad news though.

ABC Revives Salem Witch Trials, Cancels ‘Eastwick’
Apparently, “Eastwick” has lost its magic. ABC hasn’t ordered any more episodes, ensuring the show’s demise.
I’ve expressed my love for the show, which centers on three witches. I really thought it was going somewhere; it’s like a chick flick but on TV.
Vulture surmises that actress Lindsay Price might have been the show’s unlucky charm as she’s been on [...]

Rapes Make Victims of Us All
A scream escapes the next room.
Again.
And again.
You trace it back to a crowd surrounding a pinball machine. They are riveted, cheering. Your eyes follow theirs and as they settle, even you’re transfixed. A girl is pinned down to the machine, and three guys are taking turns raping her. Everyone is at a standstill.
Until Oct. 24, that scenario was fictional, a scene from the Jodie Foster-movie, “The Accused.”
Then, a [...]

ABC’s New Show, ‘Eastwick,’ Weaves Its Spell
Spoilers ahead. You’ve been warned.
When the clock strikes 10 on Wednesday nights, I catch “Eastwick” on ABC. The show centers on three women (Rebecca Romjin, Lindsay Price and Jaime Ray Newman) who are discovering that they’re witches — kind of like “Charmed” with a “Practical Magic” vibe.
I thought it would be worthwhile since I’ve noticed a [...]

News that Will Make You Giddy with ‘Glee’
FOX’s new TV show, “Glee,” definitely lives up to its name. Its cast not only has to act, but sing.
Even with that in mind, it came as a surprise when I found out that Matthew Morrison (the glee club’s director and school’s Spanish teacher) used to be in the boy band, LMNT.
EW.com also lists where you may have [...]

‘I Think’ Billy Bell ‘Can Dance’
Don’t you hate it when your reality show favorite drops out and gets replaced by someone not nearly as likable? It’s happened on “American Idol,” and apparently, ”So You Think You Can Dance” isn’t immune.
Early fan favorite, Billy Bell, had to drop out of the top 20 due to an undisclosed illness. It must be noted that [...]

‘Say Yes’ to this Reality Show
TLC has designed a reality show to reveal the stress, indecision and pure joy that comes with searching for the perfect wedding gown. “Say Yes to the Dress” zooms in on the bridal store Kleinfeld, its consultants and customers.
We are introduced to several brides-to-be as they confide in the consultants what their dream dresses are. The consultants [...]
