It’s good to know that more came out of Michael Jackson’s death than just the media hullabaloo.
Jackson handpicked his dancers and guitarist in the concert film, “This is It,” and now, their careers are on the rise.

SNL’s Writing Staff Undergoes Hormone Therapy
As the Spice Girls once said, “Girl power!”
In addition to hiring more female stars, “Saturday Night Live” has increased its writing staff’s estrogen levels. Comedienne Jessi Klein has joined the show, resulting in a supposed total of six female “SNL” writers.
Still, “SNL” joined the bandwagon late. “Chelsea Lately” has five females on her staff of [...]

Movie Trailers You Have to See to Believe
1. “Date Night” is a comedy featuring Tina Fey (“30 Rock”) and Steve Carell (“The Office”). They try to revive their marriage by going out on a date. Hilarity ensues after they are mistaken for another married couple who owe people money. If, like me, the comedic veterans aren’t enough to convince you to watch [...]

‘Gilmore Girls’ Movie: Oy with the Poodles Already!
Who knew that four words could drive people crazy?
“Gilmore Girls” creator Amy Sherman-Palladino is keeping mum about the last four words she planned her characters to say in the finale.
The Gilmore girls never got to utter them since Sherman-Palladino left the show before the final season aired.
It’s not all bad news though.

Double, double toil and trouble …
Acclaimed director Alfonso Cuaron is slated to produce a remake of Roald Dahl’s beloved children’s novel, “The Witches.”

ABC Revives Salem Witch Trials, Cancels ‘Eastwick’
Apparently, “Eastwick” has lost its magic. ABC hasn’t ordered any more episodes, ensuring the show’s demise.
I’ve expressed my love for the show, which centers on three witches. I really thought it was going somewhere; it’s like a chick flick but on TV.
Vulture surmises that actress Lindsay Price might have been the show’s unlucky charm as she’s been on [...]

Rocker Butch Walker Covers a Taylor Swift Song
Ah, the power of Twitter.
Singer Taylor Swift tweeted, Butch Walker “covered ‘You Belong With Me’ and I’m losing my MIND listening to it! Blown away. This weekend rules.”
I was expecting more of a rock version since that’s what Walker’s known for, but his cover is more acoustic and folk-sy.
If you have a Twitter account, you [...]

In this indie movie, Gael Garcia Bernal (“Y Tu Mama Tambien”) and Michelle Williams (“Brokeback Mountain”) play a couple whose lives start unraveling when Bernal flirts with infidelity on a business trip in Thailand.

Pandora Radio Has Its Limits
In addition to Pandora’s recent cap on listening hours, I just found out we’re only allowed to have 100 stations.
Silly me, but with all the songs and artists out there, I think the number of stations should be unlimited. I already reached 100, forcing me to delete some of my stations in order to make room for [...]
