In Case You Were Wrestling an Anaconda

Note: This will be a recurring blog post. The last entry focused on pop culture articles and while this one has its fair share, there’s also more randomness and seriousness. Here are links to stuff (stories, photos, videos, etc.) I found interesting over the past few days:
• ”Grey’s Anatomy” blog entry on its Season 6 opener — ABC.com
Every night, after ”Grey’s Anatomy” airs, the [...]

The Stork and Cupid Visit TV and Film Darlings

“My So-Called Life” and “Say Anything” fans must be buzzing today with news that half of their iconic TV/film couples have settled down:
Claire Danes (“My So-Called Life”) and Hugh Dancy (“The Jane Austen Book Club”) recently exchanged vows.
Ione Skye (“Say Anything”) and her husband, singer Ben Lee, welcome a baby girl named Goldie Priya Lee.

In Case You Were Getting a Bikini Wax

Note: This will be a regular, if sporadic, blog post. Here are links to stuff (stories, photos, videos, etc.) I found interesting over the past few days:

The movie’s expected release date is – I never would have guessed it! - Feb. 14, 2010, or for some people, Single Awareness Day.
“Valentine’s Day” focuses on various couples whose stories intertwine. The trailer doesn’t give anything else away (nor does it use the best song it could [...]

Saturday Night Live Hires Funny Girls

It’s about time!
Reports have surfaced that “Saturday Night Live” has enlisted two more comediennes to join the cast. With the departure of female heavyweights Tina Fey, Amy Poehler and Maya Rudolph, SNL has apparently hired Jenny Slate and Nasim Pedrad.
This is especially good news for me and other non-Kristen Wiig fans since Wiig has basically been the lone [...]

Two Movies, ‘Sunshine,’ and ‘The Fountain,’ Defy Expectations – and Not in a Good Way

I recently decided to watch “Sunshine,” expecting an action movie and “The Fountain,” expecting a romantic movie of the epic sort. No such luck.
MOVIE NO. 1
“The Fountain” was just a mess. It was supposed to be a love story with Hugh Jackman (“X-men”) playing a man desperately seeking a cure for his wife’s (Oscar-winner Rachel Weisz) life-threatening illness.
Instead, it jumped [...]
